Heated Roof Systems is patented technology that provides concealed snow melt heaters in a variety of sizes and wattages that can be adapted to any roof to eliminate ice dams. Our product provides a 100% defrost in the applied areas and is a completely fire safe solution. Each heater is applied to the roof membrane by certified roofers using a self-adhesive backing. These heaters can be placed under most roofing materials including, asphalt shingles, standing seam, synthetic slate, cedar shake and tile. In addition, we offer a (12") heated metal band, which is placed on the lower edge of the roof. This heated metal band is much more cost effective then the competing Bylin or Thermal technology alternative. Heated Roof systems also offers the only true solution to ice build up on extended valley's and dormer problem areas.

One 220 volt 20 amp dedicated circuit can power up to 150 square feet of our product. Our heated roofs can be controlled through a variety of options. Typically, this system is connected to a timer and a temperature/snow or a snow/ice sensor. Operating costs vary depending on the control system and the extent of the ice dam problem.  A certified roofer and licensed electrician will work with you to design the most effective system.

 We recommend the Heated Roof Systems product to be installed on the lower three to four foot section of the roof, where we will match your existing roof shingle style. The Heated Roof System is the most effective way of eliminating ice dams and associated roof problems.

OUR COMPETITION

There are limited products available to control ice dams. Most products are applied to the roof exterior, exposing them to the harsh elements.  Such conditions require these systems to be replaced every few years.  Heated Roof Systems offers a greater value because it is concealed from the elements and it has no visual impact on the structure.  “Heat tape” and the more expensive “Metal-shrouded heat tape” offer marginal result at best.

The upper photograph on the right is a perfect example of the Heated Roof System application and one that is commonly found. The cost of removing ice dams and snow in this fashion is both expensive and dangerous.
